I have a 243 Remington SPS (1 in 9.25 twist) that I am loading for.

I have had good luck with 55 gr and 75 gr bullets using H380. I would like to build a load for something heavier (87 - 100 gr bullets).

Have tried H4350, Varget and H4895, but have not found any of these to be too accurate. Anyone have any suggestions?
It is not do or die as I have a 25-06, but would still like the option of a heavier bullet.

Thanks.

I have that same rig!
Go with the 100 grain SGK or the new 95g SMK bullet and push it with 42 g of IMR 4831 and you will have a good shooting gun.

My SPS would not hold MOA at 100 yards with -80 gr bullets and liked the 100s best. Get those 95 SMKS they are new, I am sure they will shoot small 5 shot groups for ya. I have a few boxes on order.

I have some of the 95gr SMK's. I may have to load some up and try them. I can fire some your way as well.

Did the Bergers work? I cannot remember..............

I have lots of 88gr if you want to try more.

My 243 likes the Hornady plastic tipped 105 grains with H414. .83 for three shots at 200 m. is not to shabby. Shot a bear with one last fall. I recently shot a 300 yard match (Hunting Rifle) using Nosler 95 gr Ballistic tips and 41.5 gr. of IMR 4350 and had nothing outside the 9 ring for three strings of 10.
