Varget works good in my 243 sub moa but accuracy really came in whan I switched to H-380 with 80 grto 95 gr bergers and shoots in the consistant .6s and .7s
You have to work up the load for your rifle. No two rifles, even two indentical, consecutively serial numbered, rifles, will shoot the same ammo the same way.
If you don't have a manual, you need one. Data for an 85 grain bullet will do nicely for an 87 grain bullet. The 2 grains won't matter.
If you want data for that specific bullet, you'll have to buy a Hornady manual. Hornady doesn't put data for their bullets on-line. Lapua does. Not for a Scenar specifically, but there is data for a 90 grain bullet. That'll do. Load for the bullet weight. It's maker or construction doesn't matter. http://www.lapua.com/index.php?id=850
IMR4350 works well with heavy .243" bullets out of my rifle.
You always run across loads that seem to work in all rifles. The 165 flat base Hornady and some 4350 in 30-06 is one. If it don't shot that,it's gunsmith time. I ,too, am looking for 243 87gr load
85 gr partitions and varget work very well in both mine and my wifes 243. for varmints hers likes 70gr nosler balistic tips and varget. I have tried a lot of powders and nothing touches the varget.
