Happy to share todays range results shooting 243Ackley BAT action on ROBERTSON stock with PacNor 1:10 NXS 8-32 DD reticle

Pet load is BERGER 80gr. Varmint, Lapua brass, RL15, @ 3550 fps

Shot a coyote in January 2012 @ 700 yds.

This rifle package is 3 yrs old and still going strong -
CORLANE did all the gunsmithing.

Three shot group @ 100 yds. = .057"
I never shoot 5 shot groups therefore never heat the barrel

Very nice rifle, and great cartrige, not to mention the shooting... but if it was a 3 shot group where did the other two go....:D
 
That is so sweet. I am having Sean at NSB build me a .243 Ackley as well but with totaly different components and a 1:8 twist. One question is I can't decide on is barrel length. Its a hunting/tactical build so there might be a compromise. Any words of wisdom on barrel length ? Thanks in advance.
