Hi all. Title pretty much says it all. I have awesome rifle in 6br, built on Remington 700 action, sitting in Elisio stock. It is a very accurate rifle, easy half moa without trying. But then, I am not competing, and for hunting 6br is a bit underpowered. In your opinion folks, what do you think, should I go through all the trouble of switching to 243wssm? I have heard 243WSSM is tricky to load for. I am mostly concerned about losing accuracy with such conversion. And performance-wise, if I am getting 3000fps with 95gr bullets, how much can I expect to gain from such conversion? I am not even sure Elisio's specialized 6br mags can be machined to accept much fatter and a tad longer rounds. Other things are pretty much straightforward re-chambering and swapping bolt for. 540? Or am I missing something?
