Fair enough on the run of the mill stuff.
What business are you starting ? If you dont mind us knowing.![]()
Oh cool, I have a buddy here on the island that does some really nice work to cars and bikes. Mostly all muscle and harley types though.
custom fab mostly turning run of the mil import bikes into one off bobbers/brats
Really? That smells of a total failure in the making.
If you cannot afford to buy a chamber reamer, and are not able to round up enough data to actually have a reamer Co. make you one, I figure the likelihood of setting up anything resembling a fab shop to customize any form of motor vehicle is so close to zero that it might as well not exist.
Didn't you start trying to flog your "services" building custom flintlocks a while back?
Funny! In a sad sort of delusional way.

considering I've had a wrench in my hand since I was knee high to a grass hopper and have helped build cars that are in the 8 seconds range in the 1/4 mile I got fab work down. this type of work involves no drawings you think about what you want it to look like and you build it that's what the chopper/hot rod mind set is all about
considering I've had a wrench in my hand since I was knee high to a grass hopper
That sort of begs the question "how tall are you now? " :>)
cheers mooncoon
lol im 20 now been helping with minor things since about the age of 4 and by the age of 8 I was doing major things like paint/body and maniacal most of that on cars that drive 1/4 mile at a time and mostly fox body mustangs
What's "maniacal"? Look it up. I know what it means. As used, it makes no sense whatsoever.
And you didn't answer the question.
If you want to convince us that you can do it, then do it and show us. Been talk and excuses, so far.

i don't need money for my business i got everything i need. i do need money for this project and that's slim because i can no longer make money doing what i was and like i said no body will make a reamer i don't have chamber drawings for a 2" 24ga because they don't exist
Take a shell. Measure it. Add a couple of thousandths to the diameters. Allow for a forcing cone, and a pilot to fit the bore. Bingo, there are the dimensions. It ain't rocket science.
And how about photos of your vehicles?
yeah well I still need to draw it out and I can't draw a straight line with a ruler anymore and I don't have any pics of anything I done in the past we really did not do that sort of thing nothing too special anyway just some hot rod flames and the normal 351 Windsor swap for fox body. I've not done too much in recent years(gun addiction got in the way) getting back into the swing of things
Ahhh...So it's excuses again!

You don't even need a ruler. Draw it out freehand on a salvaged paper sack, and put accurate measurements on the drawing.
Got a Canadian Tire digital caliper?
Well, if you gave up on your CT calipers, dig out your Mitutoyo and have at it.
Tell you what - I'll measure an unfired 24ga brass shell and post the measurements.
Maybe I'll measure it three ways - once with an el cheapo, once with my Mitutoyo, and once with a proper micrometer. Bet if there is a difference, it wouldn't be enough to make the slightest difference in a shotgun chamber. You are using 4130 seamless tubing for the barrel? That will affect the pilot diameter.
