Here's a gun I inherited from my father. He bought it new from S.I.R back in the late 60's

I guess now I can say that Sidney I Robinson's buyers DID have a sense of humour.

Besides being rather unique, has it ever been fired? With the box you might put it in an auction with a floor price at least as much as a normal Universal .30 carbine.

I actually remember seeing one of these in an old catalog in an outhouse. It was I do believe S.I.R. and I remember thinking how cool it would have been to be born 25 years earlier to take advantage of cool cheap guns and ammo. I dont remember how much it was listed for but it wasnt much.

SIR was an incredible mail order gun company
I sold them about 1200 surplus 22 rifles, MAS45, Bruno s etc
Not one has turned up in this Forum

In 1967 I lived in Toronto. Le Baron Sporting Goods was there on the north side of Queen St. . They had a
Sniper .303 British Lee Enfield there , completely original , with scope & in the transit case. Price was $99.xx .
I knew even then that was cheap but as a student I had no free $ . ,,,,,,,,,, "The Good Old Days" !!

It hasn't ever been fired, I also have a Quality hardware 30m1 that my father had rebarreled in the 70's... we shot that one all the time growing up.
