I think I or someone else had an old thread about this chambering and I cant find it so I figured on a new one.

So who's loading for this and what is your experience and comments ?

I just received by rebarreled rifle in the mail this week - Savage long action with Broughton 9" twist barrel. Ill be testing several bullets but Hoping the 125gr. Matrix bullets work well (trying the FB and RBT versions). Im also running a variety of other in the 87-117gr. range. (After all I need to form some brass and break in the barrel)

Ive exchanged info with a few members so Im leaning on RL-22 for 100gr. bullets for speed. Im not 100% sure on what I will do for the 125's, Sierra list IMR-4831 as having the best speed for 120's .

Currently using RL22 with 120gr SGK HPBT and RL19 with 85gr NBT, both giving outstanding accuracy.

This cal is a great deal of fun to shoot! Low recoil, and flat shooting.

did you get the canted rifleing? I am considering rebarreling my 25-06 vrmit gun using that combo,let me know how it shoots.
 
My buddy just ordered one of the Coopers model 52 I think in 25-06 AI.Also looking for data...........Harold
 
Mine would get to 3600 fps with 100 gr bullets and H450. After that ran out, Re22 did almost as well. Now owned by another CGN member who has them happily chugging along the same. :)

Hornady 120gr/54gr H4831 or 54gr RE22 and a 115gr Partition.In the same hole Ruger MKII.....one dead bull elk at 400 yards with the 120gr load in and out hole.........Harold
