25-06 as a hunting round

The only .25 cal i have ever kept is the .257 Weatherby. I do like the .25-06 but i just find a necked down .30-06 ho hum. If your looking for the ultimate flat shooting .25 cal good for mice to moose the .257 Weatherby is the only answer.

got a 25-06 and a 257 wtby, love the quarter bores! Next one will be a 257 roberts. Wouldn't hesitate a second with either round for moose, deer, or elk.
 
I had a Sako in 25-06 ,I really liked the accuracy. I shot the heaviest bullets I could find,the Nosler was the most accurate if I remember correctly.
I would pop a moose with it if I had the chance.
