I have just recieved my Weatherby Sporter and am looking for a bullet.
The twist rate is 1 in 10
I have tried some Core loks and they do not group all that well, 3" at 100M

If you shoot a 25-06, what bullet have you had experience with that will give you an inch at 100m
I would like to stay in the 85-117 G
Thanks

I have used 117 SST's and Sierra 117 BTSP's, and 100g Barns triple shock and got good results from them all. I have a few still kicking around and no longer have a .25-06. If interested in 34 Barnes, 65 100g Sierras and about 40 117g Sierras drop me a pm and we can come up with a price.

Don't rule out the 120 Hornady H.P. its a tough EXTREMLEY accurate bullet. I have owned six and currently own 2 25-06 rifles and it always will shoot under .5 at 100 yards, My Ruger #1 and my Howa both will with 54 grains of H4831 amd a cci mag primer.

my wifes 25-06 tikka i load 115gr barnes tshocks for her, she groups 3 shots into size of quarter @ 100m. Load info is: powder, imr 7828 54grs, fed 215 primers with win brass

Identical to my "go to" load in my Ruger #1B except I'm using 120 gr. Partitions. About 3285 fps and very accurate.:D

I've shot 100 gr and 117 gr sierras out of my 25-06 AI. They both are extremely accurate. I picked up a couple of boxes of hornady 120 hp's, but have not tried them yet.

With 54gr of either H4831SC or RE#22 and a 120gr Hornady HP three shot groups in one ragged hole .Fed mag primer and Win brass.........Entered and exited a bull elk's chest cavity at 400 yards.........Harold

X2 on the 120 grain Hornady hollow point. Very accurate. The 120 Partition and the 120 grain Grand Slam are excellent all around hunting bullets too.

On deer and smaller I like to use 115gr Nosler silvertips. Have used on moose as well, but I prefer 100gr Barnes TTSX for them. Accuracy for both is just under MOA.

I've tried both the 110gr. Accubond and the 100gr. TTSX. Both offered excellent sub-moa accuracy and as expected terminal performance on antelope to moose.

Bang on! Same load we use.I talked to Hornady techs before using and they had successfully tested the 120 HP on elk before marketing it.
