Just bought a little stevens 200 in 25-06,always thought it would be a fun farting around with caliber to have.Wondering what everyone like in theirs,I will be starting with 100 gr spitzers.

It certainly isnt a Stevens 200, but the 100 gr. Barnes TSX-BT over H4831 works well, 3280 fps avg. 57 grains I believe (dont quote me, Im away from my reload data till the 29th)

I have some 117 gr SPBT's with 52 gr of H4831, and my gun loves it. Also, if your looking for a sweet varmint load, (and accurate as hell in my old Tikka)
58 gr's of H4350 over a 75 gr Vmax.
Start at around 54, and work up. Max is listed @ 58.5, but I didnt have any signs of pressure in my gun @ that, but settled on 58.
I havent bothered with anything in the 100 gr field yet.

In several 25-06's, two different loads have worked well for me. The first is 52 grains of IMR4350 for about 3200 fps and really fine accuracy. My hunting load was around 57 grains of RL22 for 3400 fps. In the 25-06 I had better accuracy with magnum primers.

Edited...talking about 100 grainers here... Mostly Hornady's and Ballistic Tips.

I assume you're talking about 100 grain loads?

You bet. Sorry about that. That's what he said he was starting with, should have been more clear.

My other pet hunting load was about 53 grains of RL22 and a 115 NP. Close to 3200 fps and a lightning bolt on deer.
