25-06 whitetail loads

Just in the process of breaking in my new Kimber 25-06, and wondering if you guys know of any good deer loads?

Nice rifle Jimmy...In my 23"- 1/12 barreled custom...56gr IMR4831 under a 100gr Nosler partition @ 3350fps knocks whitetail down like lightning hit them.

H4831 and a good 100g bullet is a good start for a deer/coyote load.

IMR 4831 with the 110 nosler accubond has worked well for me, as well as the 100 grain interlock.

Im using 53.1gr IMR 4831 with 115gr Hornady Interlock. Droped a nice white tail instantly at 306 yards.

Mine gets 54.0 gr. H-4831 behind a 100 gr. Nosler BT.

I use a 100 Nosler BT with H4831 as well now as it shot a little better but nothing wrong with the 100 Sierra GK I was using.

Hmmmm. I'm Jimmy's Grampa, and I suggested IMR 4831, but it will ONLY shoot 1" groups????

No two rifles will shoot the same ammo the same way. You must work up the load for your rifle.
What's wrong with 1" groups? Most deer rifles won't come close to that. Rule Number One. What bullet?

51 grs H4831 and a 120 gr Speer Boat tail in my Ruger No. 1. Frontal chest shot on a large buck at @80 yds. Blew up both lungs and chewed through the liver. Recovered bullet expanded to .50 cal and weighed 69 grs. Buck just fell over sideways.

Sierra 117gr BT over either H4831 or IMR4831 with loads worked up as per a manual. 1 MOA is the benchmark for fine hunting rifle accuracy. If you find a load that will shoot 3 shot MOA groups look no further. You can't shoot better than MOA in a hunting situation and if you don't knock it down in 3 shots the deer wins.

100grain TSX, or Partition, IMR7828SSC, and magnum primers.
I broke 3400fps, in my 25" RKS gain twist bbl.
Deer hate it, hunters love it!
