I am a huge fan of the quarter bores ,,,,grab her up if the price is right you cannot go wrong ,,,,,works well on small game as well as the big stuff ,,,whats not to love ,,,Dutch
I've shot a Sako Hunter 25-06 for 35 years. Have shot countless whitetail and caribou with this rifle with few issues. While back I switched to the Barnes TSX .275 100 grain boat tails. Shoot crazy tight groups off the bench when propelled with near max-max charge of 4350. I dont think the "quarter bore" will dissapoint you!
I have been shooting mine for 20 or more years ,, mine likes 120 partitions 4350 0r 4831 ,, kills deer well at long range ,, on coyotes it makes a mess out of them with even light 85 gr bullets ,, 100 or 120 the same would have no problems shooting a Moose or bear with the 25-06 however too much for small game ,,
IMO the 120gr Partition in a .25-06 is very similar to a 130gr Partition in a .270 Win. The .257" 100gr Hornady SP is an excellent, reasonably priced bullet that you can try on deer/coyotes.
