The 25-06 has fallen by the wayside a bit, very accurate in most platforms, low recoil. Excellent round for Antelope, Mountain goats, sheep and deer.

Was my favorite cal for a long time. Took deer moose n bear without issue.

It's my new favourite, bought a used Howa 1500 last year on the EE and have taken a whitetail buck, antelope buck and a doe. I'm taking it again to Wyoming this year to hunt antelopes and if I make it to rifle season at home I'll be using it again. I have a lot of calibers in solid platforms but for some reason I'm drawn to my 25-06...

It shoots flat, accurate with low recoil.

Great all-round cartridge.

With the advent of mono-metal bullets such as the TSX it is even better than it was 25 years ago. With these new bullets I would have no hesitation whatsoever to shoot a moose or elk with one.

I considered the 25-06 but went with a 7-08.
Short action, 22" barrel, and i dont reload is the only reason the 7-08 won. Plus it was in a model 70.

Love the 2506. Took my largest black bear to date with one. Deer wolves coyotes fox and smaller varmints have fallen to my 2506. I am in need of my 3rd barrel though. Im going to build a 250 savage to pair with it
