25 - 06

what velocities are you getting out of a 22 inch barrel?
how do these velocities compare to factory ammo?

Well I don’t have either in a 22” bbl but out of 24” the ‘06 is running them at 3085 and the Bob 2810. I haven’t chrony’d factory 117 SST’s but have a box in the 06 flavor I can test tomorrow and will update. They claim 3110 on the box. Disclaimer that all my experience with the SST’s in the 257R are with a hunting partner, a die hard Roberts shooter. I own one because of him, no regrets though, but I was reaching for the 25-06 each time I went out.

thanks for the information looks like a 24 inch 25-06 would be on my bucket list -

Update. Burning IMR7828 SSC I got the 117 gr SST’s at 3152 avg. with under MOA accuracy. Factory SST loads sat at 3166 avg with the same accuracy. That’s at 3120 ft and -5C out of a rem700 with a 24” garden stake.

Out of stock....a common finding, thanks for trying though.

Well that was easy. I thought you just couldn’t find if they made them, there’s one for $1000 on this very forum for sale as we speak. 6.5 is good too, I like fast .25s better personally. Can pick the Sako version too, also for sale right now on the forum.
