Soon i will be adding to my tikka collection with the purchase of a t3 lite in 25-06.
I'm interested in your stories or pet loads for this caliber. It seems that many people are have great success
with many different powders. I'm not sure were to start except with what i have in stock and that would be RE22 and Winchester LR primers. I am leaning towards hornady bullets in the 110 to 120 range.

I like the .25-06; my dad used one for everything, including moose. For 100gr bullets I'd use Hornady's SP and for the 120's I'd use Partitions. IMO a 120gr Partition out of a .25-06 is pretty much the same as a 130gr out of a .270 Win.

I have a Ruger No. 1 in .25-06. I've used the following bullets: 60 gr Winchester hollow points intended for the .25-20, 87 gr Hornady Spire Points, 100 gr Hornady Spire points and 120 gr Speer boat tails.

The 60 gr bullet with 58 grs of H4831 really blows up groundhogs and porcupines!
The 87 gr bullet with 47 grs of H414 is good but I could never get it to group better than 1 5/8" at 100 yds.
The 100 gr bullet is the most accurate in my rifle. 47.5 grs H414 always groups in under 1". 58 grs of H1000 is pretty good too.
The 120 gr bullet is a great deer load! 51 grs of H4831. Bang, flop!

I use Winchester brass and primers and 49grs of varget behind a 75gr vmax for 3520fps and 52gr imr 4831 behind 117 interlock spbt at 3150fps. Both group moa or less when I do my part

I picked up a Tikka T3 last spring in 25-06. Hunting load is 100 grain TTSX, 57 grains RL 22, 215 primers, Win brass. I seat the bullets .030" off of the rifling. Velocity is 3300 fps. Accuraccy very good (usually under a inch at 100 yards).

have tried IMR4831 and Reloaded 22 in my T3 Lite and find I had better success with the 4831. Have been using 117gr bullets. Great litle rifle, light and well balaned if you put a lot of miles on in your hunting trips.

Mine likes 115 Nosler BT's, 54.0 gr. H-4831 and Fed. GM210M primers.
Load is beyond what most manuals today publish, however it is still
4.0 gr. under what my old Speer Manual has. No signs of pressure,
easy to extract and good case life.
