25-20 ammo

I know where there is five boxes sitting in a small hardware store in eastern SK. Price is 71.00/box. I have a co-worker that may want me to pick up two boxes for him next time i'm thru. (and i'm there every week). PM me if I can help you out.
 
I reload them. Its well worth the investment. They take so little powder. I think my reloads cost me 28 cents a shot.

And it would cost much less than that if i used cast bullets instead of the nice speer hollow points

I got the brass at WSS about 20 yrs ago, not sure if it's still available. Well worth the price of the dies and mold.
 
i have about 300 factory issue and reload cast bullets from Bullet barn. great caliber for gophers. but shipping would be costly and on top of asking price, probably about the above mentioned costs. Where in Sask.? i am in eastern Sask too. Can always use some extra? Last i knew is that the ammo companys only make this ammo ocasionally as it is not a normal caliber. Buy it if you see it.
 
The brass I already had from the factory ammo I had fired off. (P.s. 25-20 brass last FOREVER because the cartridge is really low pressure). The bullets I had gotten from a small gun shop in a rural town in manitoba years ago. They havnt had any since. Ive been considering getting molds and making my own cast bullets. If you do that, it can be shot for about 12-15 cents a shot. Not sure where to get the molds though
 
ill have to do some intense searching, dies from lee, i would guess you can get moulds for it as well, ill really have to do some looking around, id like to find a few rounds just to see how it shoots!

I've only ever seen them in boxes of 50 as well. These are Winchesters. Ammo like this isn't common and should be grabbed when you find it. When i found six new boxes of 38-55 the other day, I called my buddy who has a 1899 Savage in that caliber and asked him HOW MANY he wanted. Not IF he wanted. And that stuff's not cheap at $49.95/box of 20.
 
I have reloaded some. Hornady makes a .25 cal 60 gr flat point # 2510 or they used to. I got a few bags of new brass somewhere years ago and if a box of factory ammo is going for $71, my father has a new nest egg! Still has a bunch of Imperial 86 grain rounds.

Is this being shot from an 1892?


Check with "The gun dealer" in NB. He may have some new stuff.
