.25-20 Bullet Moulds

I have a 257420 and borrow a RCBS 25-85 CM from a friend. Both cast nice bullets. Size to 258. Shoot them in a M23 Savage bolt gun. The Lyman mould is CG. The RCBS plain base.

NOE is your best bet. Accurate molds is my go-to mold maker but they don't make 25 caliber molds.

The Lymans are hit and miss at best, the quality control is not what it was and they regularly are cut undersize and drop bullets that are too skinny. RCBS makes some good stuff still, but availability and price means you can get a 4 cavity NOE for about the same price as a single or double cavity Lyman or RCBS mold.

If you order a GC mold from NOE be sure to order gas checks at the same time and save extra shipping charges.

I will have to try to find old records/targets. Did come across an email from a fellow Gunnuter who had tried both my bullets in a 92. RCBS shot best. He indicated his powder was 3031.The owner of that mould also has a good luck with them in his 92.

I think I read that entire thread.
I have a Marlin pump but would love to get a bolt.

I got one off ebay or the EE I think, an antique Lyman Ideal.
The numbers on it are 257 283 and 476.
