went down a bit of a rabbit hole back in October to find some 25-20 SS brass for a 44 Stevens I had bought a while ago
found a how to form 223 brass into 25-20 on the ASSRA web site
was a bit of a process till I got it figured out and works pretty good
Still don't have the proper dies yet ,so working of the chamber cast I used the 25-20 win dies just set high and seems to work pretty good so far
shot the old Stevens with cast 85 gr and groups not too bad but will have to some load development next year ,, but it works

When I had a Stevens 47 in .25-20 SS I had a set of CH-4D dies with it. CH-4D probably still make them. Not sure what brand of dies you're now using, but one of the things I like about Hornady dies is that their straight-line seating die will work on all cartridges of that calibre. While they do not make them, AFAIK, in .25-20 Stevens, they do in .25-20 WCF.

Hmm. I only learned that there is such a thing as 25-20 SS while at the Maple Creek show last weekend. A friend of mine found a box of new brass there. Very expensive!

All part of the hobby of shooting obsolete cartridges, a sense of great pride when you reform from something common to get an old shooter up and running again.
This is when a old library of handloader magazines comes in handy
