25-20 WCF in the Win 1892

Just from some quick googling, doesn't look like much for 25-20 bolt actions, did find lots of reference to the old Savage 23 in that caliber. Are there others?
We have a Husqvarna Single Shot Rifle No.26 (Studsare Nr.26) bolt action in 25-20 that is a neat little number.Haven't fired it yet but I'm in the process of loading up some ammo for it and hope to try it out soon. And yes, that brass is thin,I've crinkled up a few now by being a little too forceful with the stuff.Used to handling more robust numbers like 8X57,9X57 etc. This is new territory for me,the only other 25 caliber I owned was a 250-3000 Savage 99.

For resizing your brass, try running it into your SEATING die with the seater plug removed.

Seating dies are much looser than sizing dies, so this will give you only a partial reforming.

THEN you lube again and run it into the Sizer.

I sometimes have to reform some real oddballs, and find that this helps immensely.

Good luck!

Smellie, that sounds like good idea and I'll give that a try in the future on my fired brass. My biggest hassle this time around has been with virgin brass with undersized deformed necks.I found that the expander ball on the RCBS dies I have in 25-20 to be a little blunt but an old Lachmiller set I have in 250-3000 Savage has an expander assembly that works perfectly to open the necks up with.I have some tapered expander plugs coming in from CH4D but delivery being a few weeks away I wanted to get cracking on loading some up,I must say it is a neat little round to play with, can't wait to try them out!

I have several boxes of factory 25-20 ammo...I might part with some if you need...the Imperials are shooters.
WSS has Remington 25-20 listed...$67.99/box :(

you seem to have your problem under control but for anyone else having the same difficulty, you don't have to change or order any new stuff provided you have a drill of some kind. Chuck your expander rod into the drill and while its spinning ,just touch the front of the expander ball with a piece of very fine emory cloth for a minute, then with a piece of crocus cloth do the same thing to put a glass smooth polish to it. It won't take much to allow the brass to slip easilly on the ball surface . If you can remove all the machining grooves & edges , reforming oblonged case mouth's (as most 25-20 32-20 cases come out of a 92 are) can be done with no problem.
