I have just started to load lead bullets for the 25ACP however all I'm finding is load data for FMJ bullets. I have even gone back to manuals from the late 60's! Before I start some experimental loads, does anyone have any load data for 50gr cast bullets?? Thanks

I thought my Lyman manual had some loads but I was mistaken, I have lots of jacketed data but nothing for cast. Sorry!

I used to load cast 50 gr. bullets with 1.1 gr. of Bullseye with satisfactory results. Worked well in my old Colt 25ACP and also in my much newer baby browning.

Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, 3rd edition. Let me know how it works for you, I have dies and a mold myself but haven't gotten around to loading anything yet.

That would almost be like loading tic tacs!

I can't think of a worse mainstream cartridge to reload for. Look at the charge weights, aside from dealing with itty bitty components it's very easy to make ammo that is wildly overpressure by simply seating a bit deeper or being a point or two high with the charge.

That said a Beretta 950 BS is one of my favorite guns I can't legally own myself...

You’re not wrong but when factory ammo at my lgs is over $1 per round…

Agree, but if I want to keep shooting my little Colt, careful handloading it is. - dan
