Ah the 25-06
It is a beautiful, so beautiful cartridge, to shoot and load for.
A Stevens in 25-06 with a 4-12 3200 on top was my first deer rifle, or any kind of rifle for that matter. Bought that one because I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy rifle shooting.........................................
The trouble with 25-06 for me is that soon after I wanted to try a 257 Roberts, then soon after that I felt the need for a 257 AI, then a Sako Varmint in a 25-06 becomes available. Then some one has an unfired Sako Deluxe in 25-06, vintage mid 70's with lovely blond stocks, a Garcia Arms import, that sings out to me " Put me in your new Sako collection "
Have you seen that new Rem in a CDL stainless fluted in 257 Weatherby, thank god it isn't in a Sako
Don't do it, you'll never be the same ever again. FS
