  • Sierra 131gr Tipped Gameking TGK

  • Sierra 134gr Tipped Matchking TMK
  • Berger 135gr LRHT
  • Hornady 138gr ATIP
This list will grow over the years too
You’re totally right, it’s getting way better, but what would that list look like compared to 6.5/.264” bullets? The 131 blackjack is probably what changed things for the 25 creed. I haven’t been following along since the beginning but I’m guessing sierra, hornady and berger saw the potential and brought their own bullet to the table. It’s funny how things progress from one thing to the next probably without any control or intention of the inventor.

You follow these things pretty close. How many of the bullets you listed there have come out in the last 5 years?

A quick look at Midway USAs site lists 529 items under bullets. 49 of those are 25cal, 93 for 6.5 and 166 for 30cal.

49 is certainly fewer options than a lot of the more common options, but is it few enough to actually be a flaw?... if anything I'd say the 25CM fixed the one issue with 25cals, poor selection of heavy bullets due to slow twists in the old 25cal options. Now guys have the option to make fast twist 25cals even if they don't like the CM case.

In the case of Hornady, the inventors purpose is to sell bullets and ammo at a furious pace. 65 Creed is still the "cool kids" caliber, but show up at the range with something like an old Mauser in 9.3 x 62 and the new toys are soon forgotten as they line up to shoot the odd-ball. Likewise they gather round to see what an actual control-feed action looks like. LOL Hillarious, but fun for all.

So that’s it??? Weird. You base your opinion from a popularity contest you ran at your home range with a bunch of participants that didn’t know they were competing. That’s freakin funny. Reminds me of my kids when they were about six and they’d walk way ahead of me and at the last secomd race me home.

Thanks. I needed that.

No, I base it on watching human (lemming) behaviour of the past 60+ years.
