Good Afternoon,

Ive got a 25 creed barrel being spun up and was wondering what some of you might do for die set up.

Though some reading I'm thinking my best/easiest option will be a 6.5CM Redding Type S FL Bushing Die and try a few different bushings. I also already have a forester ultra 6.5 micrometer seating die.

Any thoughts or experience?

If you bought the reamer, get the smith to cut a FL die for you, won't get much better then that, can ream it for 2-3 thou bump, whatever tickles your taint, doesn't get much better then that.

I am running the Short Action Customs Fl bushing die. Its the Creedmoor body so it does 22/6mm/25/6.5 Creedmoor. You just change the bushings to match the neck of the brass. The die bumps the shoulders. I am very pleased with it, does a great job. Its not cheap but it works on all those cartridges so its a buy once cry once senario. I will say that the consistency these dies produce is incredible (.001 to .002) Here is link if anyone is interested. Ill also post a video review done by Gavin at Ultimate Reloader.

You might want to consider trying the new 135 bergers for target or the 133 for hunting
My rifle has the 1:10 twist and was so specifically for 100-115 gr bullets for hunting.
I have no interest in the longer bullets, as I am looking for specific performance at normal hunting ranges, nor will I use match bullets for hunting.
This is just my preference and practice.

I am in the load development process. I can share what has worked for me and my buddy. We are starting with the Alpha Brass (25 Creed Head stamped). We are using the 135 Bergers and starting with IMR 4350 because we have 8lbs of it. We are hoping that it gives similar results to H43540.
Out in Alberta there is currently a chinook so temps will be up around and over 0c so hope to get out in the next few days.

If you really want to be leading edge, you'll use the new A-tip heavy .25cal bullet.
I will be hunting, not target shooting/competing, so the heaviest I may be using in my new 25 CM when finished, will be the 128 gr ELD-X or 131 gr TGK. (I'll stick to the 100's in the 250 Savage, 110s in the 250 AI, and 115s in the 257 Roberts. The wife loves her 250 Savage, and my 250 AI.)
I am also considering a build in the 257 AI Improved or AII. Here too, I will try the 128 gr ELD-X or 131 gr TGK.

Depending on which bullet either rifle prefers, I may use the 128 gr ELD-X in one and the 131 gr TGK in the other, just to keep things simplified and not confusing the loads between the two rifles. (Red tip vs green tip)
Looking forward to more experience and fun with the quarterbores!

When I get a die set it will be the Hornady, so I can use my fancy click adjust Hornady seater! It's pretty awesome

Frankford Arsenal makes a very nice Universal Micrometer Seating Die. It sells for around $130 CAD. I like mine so much that I sold my Whidden micrometer adjustable seating die.
