I have seen old. 25 Cal rimfire rifles for sale now and then. I have also found hilty nail gun blanks that are bigger than . 22. Not sure if they are. 25 for sure. There are a couple of threads talking about using. 22 blanks with. 22 airgun pelets. Just wondering if it can be done with. 25. Not sure where one could get projectiles. A quick Google search says a #2 buckshot ball might work. Sorry all the decimal points keep "auto correcting" away from my caliber numbers. Stupid tecnology.

.25 is an uncommon but readily available pellet calibre. Couple of airgun suppliers sell them. Could be worth looking into.

Here are a couple of dealers at each side of the country that can likely help you with 25 cal pellets. I would look for something with a thick skirt for what you intend to use them for. You might also be able to buy a casting mold for light weight 25 cal bullets that could possible work. Not sure what barrel measurements would be.

It`ll work fine ,make sure you use the heaviest pellet you can find and start with the low powered blank and work from there . On rats and squirrels the pellets hit like a hollow point and they fragment into shards ,and if you miss there`s almost no ricochet when it hits a hard surface

I don't actually own a. 25 rimfire yet. I do have a handfull of blanks that I have picked up in crawlspaces left there by the guys hanging foam insulation on the concrete. It may be a relativly cheap way to shoot an otherwise unfeedable old gun. I might try it with a. 22 though. Just wondering, why would lead pelets "led" up a barel worse than regular led bullets? Are they softer? Or is it that they go fast due to low mass? Is there some wax lube that would help? Or does that just make things worse?

Use at own risk but you can diesel them. No leading and much faster velocity. Cut wax paper set into blank drop or two of oil in the skirt seat the pellet and load

I shot a number of rounds from a No6 Remington rolling block using hilt I shot and a .25 round ball. 27 cal hilt I shots fit a 25 rimfire almost perfectly.
