It was fun and more of a challenge than I thought good idea Clobb!

I like that game... good idea,Clobb. So that is how i did yesterday...Gun is a modified Norinco 1911A1 in 45 ACP, Ed Brown bushing,Trigger (5 lb)by me, tightened slide and polished internals also by me.Not pretty but shoots. Ammo is 230gr Cast LRN with 5.7 gr Universal underneath, fired by Fed.LP
Shooting conditions: 25m,outside,-12 degrees Celsius,overcast...and pretty rare here: No wind. Came up with 94-2X (correct me if i'm wrong) and far from timed/fast...a shot every 30 seconds.

And this was with a Ruger Blackhawk in 45 colt, no mods. Ammo is 250 gr Wolf reloads...as with my Norc before: 25 m ,both hands, same envoirmental conditions. Looks like a 92-1X

Everything is easier with a .22 ...GSG 1911,(my most used pistol as you can see from the wear) ZR tuning kit, .22lr winchester 555 bulk pack ammo, conditions as above, 96-2x

I am using this venue to try some of my guns in a similar shooting test.

Here is my little FMK Gen 2. I am very pleased (and surprised) at how well it groups. Sight needs a little adjustment.

Last time I tried the Grand Power K100 the sights were off. I drifted the rear sight a bit and tried again. I am real pleased with this gun.

My M&P9 does not have an Apex. (MY 40 and 45 do.) It felt better today than I thought it would. It shoots ok, but sight needs adjusting.

Those are some interesting data points Ganderite, and you are a very consistent shooter across a lot platforms.

For anyone who has tried multiple guns, that's not easy. Did you shoot the K100 with the first shot DA for that group?

First shot was SA. I shoot my targets at a Timed Fire pace. 10 shots in about 30 seconds.

Still shooting at 20 yards. I have the 25 yard targets and will take them to the outdoor range -which has 25 yards.

I'll post a pic of my efforts when I get the chance. In the meantime, for all my loyal haters, here's a pic of 4 mags(24 rounds) from a Glock 42 chambered in .380 with stock(crap!)sights I shot last week in Las Vegas. Distance is 7 yards, shots were fired at a steady cadence offhand. The target circle is 3" in diameter and I haven't shot handgun in several months.

Wow...Just out of couriosity, did you take a training with Matt Seibert from Insight?

Cool thread, Clobb.

My targets were shot at 20 yards at my local indoor range so they don't count towards anything. :) I did scale them down 80% though and wanted to try this because I was curious. I was on RO duty tonight so I didn't get a chance to shoot until the very end when it was just me and a guy who is thinking of being an RO so I started training him and he watched as I shot. If CeeZer was able to make it out tonight to spell me off then I'd have more time to play. Anyhow, credit goes to CeeZer for being a great teacher. He has taught me a lot. Thanks buddy!

I shot 6 targets with my K22 X-Trim and these are the best two.

Only got to shoot 1 mag of my Shadow and here it is. That 8 pisses me off. :)

Hoping for more time to play next week. :)

I'm really liking what I'm seeing from CZ Shadow's. I may have to pick one up after I get over my Beretta obsession.

That "8" is a solid "9". It is touching the line, and more.

CeeZer has been a huge influence at our local range and that's why many of us have Shadows. :)

Thanks for the clarification. I've never shot or scored competitively so I was being conservative. It's more motivation for me to get better to have all rounds clearly in the 10 ring. :)
