25 yard zero with a .308

So to save myself some shoe leather, what should I be looking at to shoot a .308 AR with Federal 150gr? Set the scope to hit 2" low?.

I set my XCR M to hit 2" low at 25m giving me POA/POI at 100m. That's based on my sight being 1.5" above bore, and 168gr rounds.

One inch low at 25 yards, should give you 1-2 inch high at 100 yards ( 150 -180 gr ).... JP.

Sight height is the key.

3" sight height is -1.8" at 25 and 0" at 100yds.
1" sight height gives -0.3" at 25 and 0" at 100 yds.

Zero at 25yds goes over the target 7.1" at 100 with 3" high sight mount.
Zero at 25yds with 1" high sight is 1.2" high at 100 yds

Measure your sight height - bore to center of scope - refer to post #6.

Here's a few targets for .308. I kinda prefer the PDF format, but I can't upload it to Photobucket.
Might want to check M14.ca - I saw some video on YouTube about someone mentioning the targets can be found on that site.

I usually just get it bang on or close at 25yards and then see where it's printing at 100 and beyond.
