Does anyone know if 250 Savage, 250/3000, brass is scarce, or hard to come by?
I was given 50, or maybe up to a hundred, reloads and was wondering if they are worth taking apart for the brass.

Doesn't seem to be common. Midway, Stateside, is showing most makers are not backorderable for .250 Savage anything. Epp's, of course, lists it.

It's always available. Have an RCBS form die set to make 250-3000 from 30-06 or 308.

That isn't exactly the question I asked. I am well aware of the various ways that 250 Savage brass can be made.
I'm just wondering if it was worth my time to dismantle reloaded ammunition and take the brass to a gun show.
In other words, I'm wondering what people might pay for good used factory 250 brass, rather than go to the trouble of forming the brass from some other calibre.
Thanks for the replies.

I've been shooting .250-3000 for about 7 years now and have had no trouble finding brass. Wholesale Sports in Edmonton quite often has it new. P&D always has it, sometimes they have both Winchester and Remington in stock.

I bought 2 bags of 50 Winchester in Prince George - Wholesale Sports - last year for ~$45.00 per bag. I bought 100 bulk Remington from the Powder Keg in Kamloops 2 years ago for under $75.00. It is not overly common lately but is not impossible to find.

I don't think you're going to get a dollar a piece but someone may want them.

I wouldn't expect a dollar each, I was thinking if they were about sixty cents each they would add some variety to my table this fall. I also have a set of Herter's dies in 250/300 to go along with them.
Thanks everybody for the replies.
