250 Savage

the last one available was probably the Rem 700 Classic a few years ago.....

25 cal barrels and reamers are available.....you can have a 250 Savage any way you want it.....

a nice light 250 sporter with a 2-7 scope is probably as close to as ideal as a guy can get for a deer rifle. Custom is the way to go

"The Model 110CY Youth rifle was introduced in 1992 and is still being produced; it has a shorter stock, but is otherwise identical to the Model 110C. It was introduced in .243 and .250 Savage, but more chamberings were added as time went by, and the .250 Savage version was removed from the market in 1995."

You might be able to find one at a gun show or gun auction.

Ruger chambers a .257 Roberts.

How difficult would it be to buy a nice .22/250 and rebarrel it to .250 sav. ?

How about the Ruger M77 International (they used to make them in .250-3000) ?

That's right, they do make a very handy deer rifle (especially in .250 AI). :)

Ruger made them in the 77, Rem made the 700 classic in this cartridge, Savage chambered a couple of models of 110 (I have a deluxe) in 250-3000. I also have a Model 20, which is a wonderful little gun in this chambering. Having said all that, I don't think there are any new factory mass produced guns being chambered for this caliber. Coopers are basically a semi custom order (and nice guns too), and other then that, I think you're buying used or building your own. A 250-3000 AI is a top notch deer rifle by the way, nipping on the heels of the 25-06. - dan
