$2500 budget Taxes in. Please help me pick some glass!

At the range again, the one eight adjustement of the Sightron is real precise, i am just discovering that scope and how good it is, sure i wont leave my S&B and my Zeiss in the alley they are top scopes but gosh this Sightron is impressive at 58 it is always pleasant to be impress and it does make a perfect match on the Icon P.H. 6.5 Creedmoor, good shooting ahead... JP.

I had a problem with zeroing my 5.5-22x NXS. "Zero" at 200m was at +70 MOA. At that rate I might make it to 1000 but it was doubtful. I had a 0 MOA base on the rifle at the time. I sent the rifle to ATRS and Rick machined me a beautiful +40 MOA rail which has my zero at around +30 MOA. That gives me many many minutes to play with and keeps the tube in the center of the scope letting me take advantage of all the windage adjustment. The center is a happy place.

next time i'm at the range i will invite as many individuals as possible to look through both my 8-32 Nf and 8-32 sightron. Stay tuned for the results! to my eyes, the Nf is by far superior and i don't see how others are making statements that they're just as good. I wish there was another option on par with the Nf, for a few bucks cheaper. i was holding out hope for the razor, but the only thing impressive was the box and packaging.

Everyone's eyes are different but I've looked through both, own the Sightron, side by side and I couldn't tell the difference, nor could the 3 others that looked as well. Like everything else on here, take it for what it's worth, lord knows I do to what I read on here. I've looked through both, made my conclusion, posted my results, saved over $500 with the Sightron....YMMV.

Like I said, if I could afford it, I would get an NXS no sweat. The Sightron has great glass at a great price and I am VERY pleased with my scope.

For sure if there is smalls differences it's certainly not justify to pay 3 times the price for the same thing or near, i dont own no NF but i own 4 S&B and the difference with the Sightron are so small i cant see them so for me my next 2 or 3 scopes gone be Sightron, if i feel sorry for a reason i will assume all the responsability... Cheers. JP.

So you'd pay the extra $500 for the NXS even though you're of the opinion the Sightron is of the same quality and clarity? :D

This was meant for my S&B and my Sightron and i am the one who is paying, it is like the guy who pay 75.000 dollars mods on is car to gain one ten of a second... JP.

What's 1/10th of a second @ 1760 yards? Get my drift?

I want to thank everyone for the great insight. Someone mentioned that everyone has different eyes. You're 100% right. Either that or I was looking through a really bad Sightron. It was a brand new 10-50x60.

Either my eyes are right screwed up, or the scopes were faulty/amazing. The difference in Clarity/Contrast/Chromatic Aberation/ was noticeably different. Also, once again, the most important part for me... the NF was MUCH more forgiving of head/eye position. Making target aqquisition a breeze. The picture in the NF was far brighter, the colors much more vivid.

This is comming from someone on a budget who had to save. I could have saved myself a $1000 bucks and put it towards a nice new 1911 or a NEA AR-15. Long range is my passion, I find nothing more gratifying than it. To me I can tell myself that I'll be able to pass this scope down to my kids and it will function like the day I bought it.

P.S.

IT'S ###Y AS HELL.

Pics soon!

You made a wise decision!

If you are taking note you are not finish because internet an CGN opened up a world of thing i bearely heard about before so when i try a product that have a very good price quality ratio i share it, just stay put, there is so much nice things to buy and time is not on my side so when i get my Nemesis or my new AMG63 wich month flavor will it be... When i bought my TRG-42 338 LM a few month ago i did not speak alot about it because i did not like it and it was expensive, it is sitting in the back of the safe now forever... Those Redfield scope were inexpensive but they are goods and i find it important to tell it... Nobody expect expensive stuff to be bad but i like to ear when a product is good and affordable.... Cheers. JP.

I dont own no Leopold products but from i see at the range they look top quality, i've being a S&B and Zeiss guy for a long time, since i am at cgn i am discovering all those nice availabe scopes tru the sponsors, i see NF, March, and more Sightron in the future and more Redfields... JP.

Actually that $500 difference is for the BR model, not the NXS. Since the NXS is what, $1800 plus? That would make for a ~$1000 difference, thanks for your valued input anyway...And yes, I do believe it is of the same quality of glass and clarity.

just finished examining the brick work of a church about 800m off my deck. definitely not the same quality of glass. . . . .win for Nf.
