250cci primers/2 failure to fires

I have had a couple of CCI primers fail to detonate on me...but only in 2 different Ruger M77 rifles. I have heard some of the Rugers where a little bit weak on the firing pin spring side of things and CCI primers had a harder cup then the other brands....So I use Federals in those rifles. I use CCI's in my Ruger No 1's and my Browning, Remington's and Sako with no problem.

I have found that with my savage action, the firing pin didnt like to shoot CCi primers, i think the Dia of the firing pin is too small on most. Mine liked to pierce primers quite a bit.

I have never had any issues with cci 250s. I did get a batch of cci 200s that were slow to ignite powder in the cold.I had this issue with stick and ball powders. I was able to hear the firing pin hit the primer before the gun went bang. I had this happen in 2 different rifles a 223 wssm and a 243 wssm. I no longer use non magnum primers in anything with a case capacity larger then a 308 win.
