Does anyone have any? Nosler is the only manual that I have that has anything on .338 Federal and only list up to 225G and neither is there anything on the Hodgdon site. Is it available anywhere? Thanks.

I have the new Barnes manual and they only go up to 225 grain bullets too. I'd think that a 250 gr. might be a little heavy for this case and would take away from already limited powder capacity because of how deep you'd have to seat it, but I could be wrong.

I figured as much, but since I have some 250 grain interlocks, I thought I'd see if there was anything at all on that weight. Thanks for checking in the Barnes manual.

If you want to toss 250's, look at the Hornady round nose. As mentioned this would be for short range applications so trajectory is not so much an issue.
The bullet is shorter compared to a spitzer and will take less capacity out of the case.
They held up very well in my moose and bear in the 338-06, there would be lots of penetration yet good performance still in your 338-08.

44.5 grs H4895 under the 250 gr round nose Hornady does 2320 fps in my Sako 338F. I can seat out to a OAL of 2.86" which helps free up some space inside the case for more powder without going into bad pressure. Not the most accurate load but at the ranges in which I'd use it, it'll be plenty accurate.
