I ordered some bullets some time ago, 250gr. .451 diameter bullets that I intended to load for my 1911. I knew that was an unusual bullet weight for the cartridge, but that's part of the reason why I was curious to try'em out.
I got them in the mail today (mail on a Sunday!), and unsurprisingly, they sport a cannelure and are obviously intended for use in the .45colt cartridge. Despite this, it's still the right diameter (I thought .45colt bullets were sized to .452"?), and I do have some (not much) data for 250gr. bullets in the .45ACP.
Is there was any reason I should not attempt to load these bullets in .45ACP cartridges?
