Hornady has cut corners on their bullet jackets but wont admit it . Had jacket separation with several calibers on various big game including a 286SP 9.3x62 on a cow moose at 180 yards. Took 3 chest hits to put her down and a 4th between the lookers.
I use the Sierra 100gr #1620 Pro-Hunter in a Rem 700 classic 250 Savage. Around 3000fps . Never had jacket separation with recovered bullets ,usually pass throughs even at 400 yards on big bodied Alberta broadside bucks.
