257 wby cooper loads

Hi i just bought my second cooper a 257 wby with a 26 in. barrel......im looking for a long range whitetail load! could someone lead me the right direction plz,first time loading for this round planning on sizing 7 RM through the die then loading from there!! bullets powder ect.... THX GENTS

I suppose it depends on what you consider long range. Our .257 "house load" is a 100 NBT over IMR 4831 in Weatherby brass and 215M because it shoots in all of them. Kills whitetail at 4-500 hundred deader than snot. I have necked down plenty of 7mm Rem brass, but currently mostly just use the Weatherby stuff, and some Norma head stamp because I have lots of it. Factory .257 is fairly cheap now, and a few boxes of tailor-mades will provide lots of brass. That stuff lasts forever near as I can tell.
