.257 wby load for 100gr TSX please

Hi, got some 100 gr TSX to load, on Barnes website they list 2 loads, (IMR 4831 starting at 60 grs & Magnum starting at 71.5)

I have a very limited amount of IMR 4831 to start with but would appreciate it if anyone has any loads they have used specifically with TSX bullets for IMR 7828 or IMR 4350 (both of which I have lots of.)

Bigbubba, both my son and I tried 100 gn TTSX in our 257 Wbys and found the copper fouling to be astronomical at these velocities. 1/2" to over 4" in 40 rounds. 2 days of decoppering and cleaning and exactly the same result again 1/2" to off the paper after 50 rounds (over 6"). I went immediately to 110 gn AB after the dismal experience with the TTSX and have had no more fouling or accuracy problems. He continued to play with the TTSX, and refused to believe me about stripping bullets and copper fouling, for the next year changing powders and COAL etc until he was ready to break the rifle. I then took it away from him and decoppered it and cleaned it, tightened the screws took some of my 110 ABs and some test loads to the range and shot a 1/2" 4 shot group. He was SOMEWHAT humbled when I took the target back, threw the rifle at him and told him maybe he should listen to the old man who's been doing this chit for more than 40 years!! He did try going to the 110s but didn't decopper and clean beforehand so all was futile.

OP, I have found RL 25 to be absolute magic in the 257 Bee

Mine really liked RL 25 with 100 gr Sierras as well. The bullet broke up so badly on deer though, I picked up some TSX's to try out as well. Not looking forward to that copper issue though. And I'm not finding a ton of bullet selection around here for the 25 cal. Maybe 115 gr Noslers will hold up better.
