Anyone loading this in their bee I'm considering it . I have no doubt it will work fine just wondering what everyone is using for powder as data is pretty slim on the Barnes site and I usually load 120 gr bullets with 7828 ??

I use 7828 in mine too. Shoots great out to 500; as far as I've taken it or am likely to.

24" in the one that I use the 80 grainer in. 26" in another one.

That combo puts a schitt eating grin on the face of everyone that's tried it. I'am currently running a 26" barrell on my .257. If I build another it will start out with a 28" tube.

My load is 76 grains of the old style 7828, 215M seated to the top groove. A friend went one grain hotter, but too hot for me. 39 something with a 24" barrel.

i HAVE BOTH OLD AND NEW AND SSC 7828 SO I WILL BREAK OUT THE CHRONY AND GIVE EM A RUN

Not the 80gr, but I used RL22 with the old 75gr X and that load gave good accuracy and +3970 fps iirc out of a 26" barrel.
