257 Weatherby loaded with 115gr TSX

Using published data from the bullet manufacturer is always a good way to start, but Barnes does not have some magical formula for making their data any better than anyone else's. Like everyone else's published information, it serves as a guideline for reloaders, not as an absolute truth.

One error specific to monometal bullets like Barnes that reloaders make is to use data for other bullets of the same weight. Depending on the caliber, sometimes safe Barnes loads are less due to their length and subsequent deeper seating. No matter which manual, it's best to start off with loads specific to the bullet.

On the subject of the 257, I never had much luck with RL25 and the 115 TSX. I always used RL22. Guns were a Wby Accumark and a Rem 700 CDL SF, both 26" bbls. IIRC, the Barnes manual max load was safe in both.
 
I picked up a box of 110 accubonds, are these things holding up at 257 Wby velocities?

I'm going to try working up a load with RL22 this weekend.
