26 nosler vs 28 nosler

The X-Bolt Hell's Canyon Speed has definitely been calling my name for awhile. That's what I would go with. The new carbon fusion looks really good too, but pricey. It's tough trying to resist while my custom 28 Nosler slowly comes together. Waiting on the Manners EH-1 to show up for my Bighorn SR3 and long throated Benchmark barrel. Then hopefully the temptation will stop.

While I'd go .33 (or larger) if I was going to build one of the Nosler cartridges, between those the .28 is an easy choice given my fondness for 7mm cartridges. As for factory vs built do you want to wait or want it right now?

Neither. They're both ridiculous. Stick with something proven, .270, .30-06, .308, 6.5CM, 7-RM, .300-WM etc. These grossly overbore cartridges are a waste of time and money.

I'm on the same page as you. I love the Nosler bullets, it's all I reload, however I don't want or need their new cartridges, older cartridges are tried and true!

Nothing like taking a ton and a half to 500 and a ton to 1000. Thats up there in Lapua-land, and beats my Edge in the wind. Those 195 hit hard, recoil light enough that self spotting with un-braked, moderate weight LR rifle is still in the cards.

My 28 Nosler is 8 lbs scoped .With the brake has less recoil than my 6 lb 6.5 cm.I can see bullet impact if i hold it right .
