I am looking at upgrading shotguns and getting a Benelli Super Vinci. This will be used for up-land bird hunting, water fowl hunting ducks/geese and shooting skeets as well as pain in the A$$ birds around the farm. Can't decide weather to get the 26" or 28" barrel. What are the advantages or disadvantages in performance and handeling if any??

Benelli shotguns with 3.5" chambers have long receivers that seem to cause the 28" barrel to be much longer then say my Browning Silver or Remington 1100 both have 28" barrels so as an all around gun I'd go for the 26". But this is only my opinion.

Ive tested on wet tel.directories many of my 26'' and 28'' barrels at 45 yards many times,no differance in penetration,or on the pattern board between them, the 26'' is faster, the 28'' swings better IMO.
