260 for deer,elk,moose is it possible?

The beauty of the 6.5x55 is that it is not loaded with a tsx bullet....it is known for its deep penetration and expansion due to it's length and somewhat "soft" composition.....it will penetrate deep and expand reliably due to its SD and moderate velocity...that is what made this and other similar cartridges famous...including use of this and similar cartridges on elephants in the past. The swede is used alot in europe today for the same reasons.

You may wish to look at the Model Seven CDL......out of curiosity, I was inspecting one at Epps last week.....does seem proportionate for those with a smaller/lighter physique.....the recoil pad is quite soft more like a firm gel like feeling?

Personally I would go with the 7mm 08 it will handle about everything in North America and I know Savage has a really good youth model that won't break the bank and they shoot very well out of the box!!!!! It would make a great X-Mas gift I bought my son a 7mmWSM last year for X-Mas was the highlight of his X-Mas for sure.
 
At the present moment she is looking at a mossberg 100 atr in .270.She really has a thing for wood stocks or as far as the mossberg wood looking stocks.she likes the look of the durawood.Your opinions?
