I'm planning a M-14 rebuild using a Norinco action. The 260 Rem cartridge is of interest and appealling to me for the end use of the rifle. Has anyone completed or know of a completion of a 260 Rem M-14?
Since the case is a necked down .308, Mag and action fit are of no issue. A typical 260 Rem load with 140 grain has close to the same muzzle velocity as a .308 150/155 grain load, I would expect pressures to be similar. My concern is gas flow for action operation with a smaller caliber.
Ideas/ opinions?
