.260 Remington trim lenght

New to the .260 caliber. I am curious what lenght you are trimming your cases, I read that the max is 2.035 and the minimum length is 2.025, seems kind of a slim margine?

Nate, its all in your manual. Yes, max is 2.035 & trim length is 2.025. They suggest trimming this .010 to account for any stretch that may happen during firing.

Again, it's all laid out in every decent reloading manual. Do yourself a huge favour & digest all of it....maybe a couple times.

Loading manuals are a good investment, buy a Nosler, Lyman, Speer, Hornady.
All are a wealth of knowledge and its a good idea to study them, you can never learn too much about reloading.

I have had at least 4 different manuals on my desk at all times. I usually use the Speer and Hornady.

Or measure your chamber and trim 10 or 15 thou shorter.....book values are usually conservative, and you end up trimming more than required...

I find the Lee case trimmer/gauge the simplest and most consistent way to trim cases. No measurements required. Just insert the tool for the 0.260 Remington and turn until it does not cut. I don't believe in messing around with different case lengths, and just keep them all the same.
