260 Remington

Doesn't make much sense to go with the .260 instead of the Creed these days, unless you are already heavily invested in the .260 with ammunition and/or brass.

Except maybe the crazy price of 6.5 brass compared to 260 brass.....as an example Lapua is $20 more per 100

I am similar to most above, my T3 is 22 in barrel and i shoot 120 gr TTSX for hunting over IMR4831
Shoots very small groups.

Started loosing velocity with the creed @ 1800 rounds, consistent with the 260 @ 2200. Both douglas air gauge match barrels. Velocities are 60-90fps faster in the 260, not quite 100 but close.

I think I got mine (Rem 700 Mnt) in 1998 and since have taken everything from varmits, deer, moose and elk. It’s been a very good, accurate rifle that I just passed down to my 10yr old daughter. I have been a huge fans of the 6.5’s for ever and this one hadn’t disappointed me. I have used lots of different bullets both reloaded and factory but tend to stick with 140’s.

The Swede and .260 are equal, but one is long vs. Short. They both have more oomph than the CM.

Sounds like you have a .30-06.....!!!!

Not trying to hijack the thread but on a somewhat related note, considering your comments in post #14, any favorite load info using a 140gr bullet in the 6.5 Creedmoor? Looking at quite possibly picking up a 6.5 Creedmoor in the very near future.

Thank you. IF/WHEN I make the deal, I have access to a quantity of Hornady 140gr SST bullets and to start with, will likely go with the IMR 4350 I have on hand. Thanks again.
