.260?

Just bought a 260 (seems to be a trend) but since Bartel and Gatehouse think it's a useful cartridge I'm having second thoughts!
Seriously, if you are a handloader I think the cartridge is a good choice for deer, etc. The .264 bullets offer very good ballistics. If you're not a handloader, there are better choices due to ammo availability/choices.

I'd shoot a moose with one, but it wouldn't be my first choice!
 
Thanks guys. I wasn't expecting the huge number of responses in just one day. I'm not interested in shooting anything bigger than deer right now, so it sounds like the .260 or the .270 will do just fine.
