If you can get ahold of RL16, It gives very good speeds in the 260. I am at 42.3grs under the 140gr Sierra TGK which does 2765 fps from my Tikka 22.4" brl

That is promising velocity! My local guns store doesn't have any in stock, might have to call around.

I have the 2.95" M+ magazine for my Tikka, which allows longer loaded lengths. That frees up some case capacity for more powder which gets a bit more speed out of the cartridge

I've been looking at bottom metal to run aics mags for that reason.

I had a 24” barrel and got to 2770 with h4831 and the AB. I would give h4350 a try, or a couple other temp stable powders. There are a few that will get you more speed, but then they are not very temp stable.

Temp stability is a why i started with H4831SC, StaBALL 6.5 is apparently temp stable so I will give that one a go next. Local store has some H4350 in stock surprisingly but theh are charging insane price for it.

Had a disappointing morning with my new Tikka t3x 260. Was hoping to drive these 140AB to 2700fps. I ran H4831sc up to 47gr and couldn't get past 2550fps.

What are you guys using to drive them faster?

The problem is No Gun stores seem to have Alliant powders anymore as there not making there powders for civilians anymore .
