I came across this bullets for a decent price and I'm wondering if anybody has any experience reloading 6.5x55 with it.
What I'm looking for is moa or better to hunt deer within 300yd with my m96 spotter and giving the shortage of options for bullets right these would be a great deal.

I've used some of those.

They're perfectly acceptable for everything from small Deer to Moose/Elk Bears out to 300+ meters at the velocities that can be safely obtained from you M96.

The biggest issue, is their trajectory, which is quite pronounced.

Here's another issue, barrel length seems to be critical with bullets this heavy, as well as bore diameter.

My m96 sporter has been cut back to 24 inches and scoped. Velocities with my load are OK, right around 2350 fps. Luckily the bore is on the tight side, right at .264 and in excellent condition from the leade to the muzzle. It also has a tight throat, which is critical for accuracy. I can't load the bullets far enough out to get within .050in of the leade.

That being said, the bullets will maintain accuracy to 1.5 moa out past 300+ meters, if I do my part.

My zero sight in is at 200 meters or 8cm high at 100 meters. This means there is still another 30cm of drop at 300 meters.

I don't use this rifle much any longer because it prefers the long, heavy 160 grain bullets. For ranges, 250 meters and less it's deadly on Black Bears and anything else it hits. Expansion suffers a lot past 300 meters.

My load for this bullet is 45.0 grains of H4831sc over CCI Magnum primers in Lapua cases, loaded as long as the magazine will allow.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I've only shot S&B 140gr out of it, moa accuracy, and I'm going to develop something else for it. Have you use any other load? How about 140gr SST?

Now, you're going to have to do some of your own experimenting. It's a lot more fun and actually applies to your rifle, rather than mine. Which is what you should be doing. Lots of load info on the internet for the bullets you are inquiring about.

I picked up som PP 120 gr. HPBT, and will be shooting nothing bigger than a ground-hog. I have a bunch of different loads made to try out and will be going with the most accurate. Just waiting on better weather.

I have weighted a bunch and the the weights seem to have little if any variation; my powder scale detects none. Measurement wise, diameters were all consistent and round. Should shoot OK.
