Considering a 1960 M70 .264 Win Mag.
Determining reloading bullets for mixed deer, Elk and small Moose.
Federal Terminal Ascent 130 gr. bullet.
Bullet Length In: 1.421in.
Does anyone have insight on this bullet in the .264 and problems with length, throats, powder space or magazine length?

Well being a Winchester it will be short throated and they’re still building them this way. However, different bullet than you want to use but I’m using the 120gr TTSX ( bullet is 1.322” long) which is seated about as deep as I can maintain grip. Getting 3250 though with StaBALL HD in a new production CRF. Haven’t shot anything yet but will be my go to for fall.

Should work excellent, high speed isn't a problem with this bullet design. I use them in my 260 Remington and they're accurate. Haven't killed anything with the 6.5 130 yet, but did take an elk a couple years ago with the 30 cal 175gr and it was superb

Now where to buy some?
Haven't found any stocked in Canada.

Haven't seen any since September, definitely not the easiest bullet to stumble across. Federal likely doesn't sell many as component as most of the production will go to factory ammo needs
