Does anybody out there know if there is a good bullet that will work for varmits.I would like to avoid the big holes.Or is this just to much gun for coyotes no matter what I use in it ??

Just use a bonded bullet for big game... through and throughs will not be too bad. I would stay away from super light hollow points or frangible bullets if your keeping fur.
Nosler makes a 100gr ballistic tip that would prolly work great at long range.

Lorne, the only good coyote is a dead coyote, and the bigger the hole the better!!!

My accuracy load was (is) 57.0 grains of H4350 and a Hornady 140 gr SP Interlock #2630. It is a bit hot, work up to it etc etc.........and it hits like the Hammer of Thor on deer (ask swamp!). But it would not be kind to fur if you are looking to keep the pelts!

When it came out ,there were two bullets ,a 140 for big game and 100 for varmit. The biggest problem with a 264 for coyotes is barrel life. There is a finite number, and in this caliber working up a load will eat into it.

Only 16 grains more powder than my 260 Remington :D:D
