.268 carcano bullets

Where do i get myself some of these bullets? i want to start reloading, most of all i want to shoot my carcano, i was told that the ammo canada ammo has is only a .264 bullet the privi stuff, any one confirm this? also what would happen if i shot the .264 in my carcano?

No harm shooting the .264 stuff, you will simply get dispersion on the target area, meaning your shots will probably not be consistently on target. For the proper .268 go to Tradex, that's where I got mine. http://www.tradeexcanada.com/produits/87

Shooting .264 will work OK, just stay away from the lighter bullets and avoid anything with a Boattail as they WILL squew sidways down the barrel (this will give you an Italian ShotGun). My Cavalry Carbine loves Speer 140gr Soft points in .264, they print near as well as the Horn 160gr .268's. Would like to try the Horn 140 Spire Points ( .264 )as well.
