27 Nosler

Doesn’t seem like there has been much interest in this new cartridge. I guess with the 26 and 28, the 27nosler just isn’t needed? The 270wby may be the way to go.

I'm not a big fan of .277" cartridges, but the 6.8 Western does intrigue me... none of the Nosler offerings pique my interest in the least.

With everything that has occurred in the last year the fact that a new proprietary cartridge only offered in one highish end factory rifle hasn't set the world on fire, and isn't widespread this side of the medicine line, can't really be viewed as a short coming. Between the .27 and .270 Weatherby I don't know which I'd prefer components in general are going to be painful enough to source up here for a while I would probably just go fast twist .270 Winchester.
I hope it and Winchester's 6.8 Westerner do catch on and encourage faster twist .270 barrels and longer bullets to become more common.

With the 28 Nosler both the 27 and the 6.5 just aren't needed. ;)

Luckily we aren't confined to what we need.:d

The 270 Weatherby is a fine cartridge; dating back to the 40s. You might struggle with getting a bullet that likes the free-bore; but if you do and stuff it full of 7828 its a force to be reckoned with.
